Work Flow and
Telephony
Work
Flow describes a process whereby the computer aids the office in
a step-by-step activity. Until now, these activities have been done
completely manually. By introducing computer technology to a Work
Flow situation, some tasks can now be totally automated (e.g. calling
patients to remind of a pending appointment) and others greatly
enhanced (e.g. analysis of productivity of appointment schedulers).
The objective
is, of course, labor savings and availability of more comprehensive
analysis of data.
The following
two pictures illustrate two Work Flow processes. Each utilizes the
DNA Telephony System as an integral part of process.
